Now, let’s talk about getting those pictures off your phone or computer and into your hands or on your walls.
I want to start with my all time favorite tip for printing pictures. I got this one from Angie Monson of Simplicity Photography. After every family photoshoot, I print a 5X7 of every image from the shoot and place it in a box. We keep our boxes on a shelf. I remember Angie saying she kept her on her coffee table. I just recommend you keep the boxes out and accessible. My kids love to grab a box and go through every picture. I got this tip a few years ago so I actually went back to and printed all our old family photoshoots as well.
The biggest fans of this system is the Grandparents. I can’t tell you how much gratitude I get that I print my pictures and that they can flip through them old school style.
I recommend printing pictures through:
There really isn’t substitute for framing images and using them as art in home. If you had a professional shoot; your photographer is an artist! Their work should be shown! If you are the photographer then, heck ya! Show the world and yourself the memories you captured!
This one is easy. Buy frames. They range from dollar store to pricey. Print your pictures. I recommend the same printing labs above. Just get the frames and get those pictures up!
Here’s my pro tip: Hobby Lobby and Michaels always have deals on frames, jut keep and eye out.
Pro tip number 2: Bigger is usually better!
Pro tip three: Command strips rock!
I am a huge fan of photo books! I used to find them complicated and time consuming to make but either I got faster or the software for making books got a lot easier. I’m thinking it’s the latter.
I love Chatbooks! Their Instagram subscriptions is awesome. I have also used Chatbooks to make books from albums on my phone. ON MY PHONE! It only took about 10 minutes! It was that easy and the colors were on point which is a BIG DEAL to me!
